This retreat would not be nearly as special without our amazing and knowledgeable hosts Rimi Chakraborty and João Ferreira, founders of Quinta Minuvida, and their wonderful staff. Mindfulness, presence, joy, and the savoring of each precious moment - these things are woven into every layer of the experience at Minuvida! The lovely accommodations at Quinta Minuvida and Quinta de Paraizo (the neighboring villa where some retreaters will stay), abundant gardens, and scrumptious farm to table meals encourage each of us to slow down into presence and gratitude. Our outdoor excursions will spark wonder and a sense of adventure; on São Miguel you will feel truly immersed in nature. Early autumn is a fantastic time to visit, with temperate weather for hiking, relaxing outdoors in a hammock, sitting in the healing hot springs, and maybe even jumping in a waterfall or two!

And one of the best parts about this trip? The affordable direct flights from Boston to Ponta Delgada (airport code PDL) - you'll be in paradise in under six hours! Yogis traveling from Boston will leave on Thursday night (OCTOBER 13) and arrive at Minuvida for a nap followed by lunch on Friday.

 

Our five-night, six-day retreat will be chock full of yoga classes with Checka (two practices on most days) as well as a very special class with our host and talented yoga teacher Rimi. Also included in your retreat price are two guided excursions to some beautiful must-see spots on the island - hiking, hot springs and special lunches will be featured! And of course there will be time to just chill. Enjoy views of mountains, ocean and orchards from Minuvida's observatory tower, relax in a hammock or your peaceful lodging, or enjoy a walk or bike ride to the sea. On-site massage bookings may also be available.

Three meals per day (beginning with lunch on arrival day and breakfast on departure day) are included in your retreat price, aside from two lunches on your own in order to give you a chance to explore the local options. Airport transfers are also included in your retreat price and we'll collect flight details before your arrival.

PRICING:*

• Double or triple occupancy room with private bathroom (2-3 people in separate beds) - $1,840 pp before March 31, 2022; $1,990 after
   

• Single occupancy room with private bathroom (1 person in the suite) - $2,290 before March 31, 2022; $2,440 after

A deposit of $500 is required to secure your spot; balance payments will be due on July 1, 2022 (electronic invoice will be provided for both). All deposits and balance payments are non-refundable. Purchasing trip insurance is highly recommended for ALL retreats.

Additional costs are limited to: air travel, extra excursions (beyond the two included ones), massage appointments if available, and two lunches on your own.

• Drugs and alcohol are prohibited on Quinta Minuvida's property outside of some local wines they will serve with dinner.

• Quiet hours begin at 11:00 pm.

• Meals are curated for the group so if you have a very specific diet please inquire if the center can accommodate. Vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options are generally available.

• Please check that your passport is valid six months beyond the retreat.
