"If a year was tucked inside of a clock, then autumn would be the magic hour" - Victoria Erickson
We are excited to invite you to this lovely one day retreat! You don't have to travel far or spend a whole week away to feel refreshed and renewed.
Autumn is such a special time in New England. It can also feel quite busy. For this year's NOURISH retreat, we have chosen a gorgeous setting and planned a day of music, yoga, energy work, and delicious food to help you slow down and fill your cup. Come spend the day with us, and step into the rest of 2023 centered and well-rested.
For this retreat we will gather in Westwood, Massachusetts at the beautiful Hale Education campus. We will meet at Powissett Lodge, one of the most spacious venues on the property (precise directions will be sent to all registered attendees before the retreat).
Hale Education is a private, equity-focused nonprofit widely recognized for their flagship camps, youth programs, family and community activities, school partnerships, and professional development opportunities. By gathering here, we support these crucial endeavors and the community they have created.
Our Nourish retreat will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023. We have space for 26 folks to join, and this experience is open to those with all levels of yoga experience including beginners. The day will begin with a warm welcome, followed by an energizing and uplifting 90-minute flow yoga class led by Checka Antifonario with live music by Kimberly Redd! Kimberly is a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter whose music is mystically magical; she weaves such love and wonder into any space. As an experienced yoga teacher herself, she understands the rhythm of practice and deeply enhances the experience every step of the way.
Next up will share an abundant and nourishing vegetarian lunch prepared by longtime Yogaway fave, "Chef Farless"! Dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please note that the food will be prepared in Checka and Farless' home kitchen; we are not licensed as caterers or inspected by a health department.
After some time to digest and (weather permitting) enjoy the lovely outdoor space at Hale, we will gather back in practice for a guided meditation followed by a deeply healing restorative yoga workshop with Checka. As you relax in fully supported postures, you will be invited to practice the art of receiving - from your own inner self, from the kind intentions around you, from the singular beauty of autumn. Checka, and also Kimberly if we have a full room of yogis, will offer Reiki energy work throughout the class to those who opt in to receive it. Healing is the natural way of your mind, body and spirit; when we make space for it in our lives, we deepen our wells of energy and resilience.
A couple of other little surprises await those who gather for this special day. Come as you are, and be in community. This is a day of belonging and love. Step into the weeks ahead full of knowing that you deserve to balance all of your output with steady self-care too. Our wish is that we can all be fully ourselves and enjoy our precious lives as much as possible - and in this way we brighten the lives of others too. Hope to see you at Hale!
Please note: registration fees for this retreat are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another person if you are unable to attend and can find a replacement. Thank you!
